Welcome to The Bible Study Chapel, a Bible-believing, independent Baptist church rooted in the love of God and His Word. We are a fellowship of local believers, committed to growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ and encouraging one another in faith. At our core, we believe in the authority of the Bible, the power of prayer, and the importance of genuine, heartfelt worship.
Our congregation is a family, united by our shared love for God, and our mission is to glorify Him in all that we do. We gather regularly for meaningful fellowship, passionate Bible teaching and preaching, and to support each other as we seek to live out our faith in everyday life.

Our Story
The Bible Study Chapel started by the direction and Divine call of God on a man’s life by the name of Shay Mahurin. Brother Shay started the Chapel in July of 1969 in the garage of his house. He was then blessed of the Lord to add on to the church and build its current sanctuary sometime after that. God used Pastor Shay Mahurin for over 30 years at the Chapel, seeing many souls saved by the grace of God and lives changed.
In the late 1990’s, God saved Cleve Morton and sent him to the Chapel and there he was put in position to be the next Senior Pastor of the Bible Study Chapel where he continues in this role.
On March 5th, 2011, Pastor Shay Mahurin went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love for family, friends, and the Father above.
